So we are all smiles again here. The walk probably helped. At least we decide it was too cold and wet even for the zoo. Since we had to stop decorating (AKA stop breaking all the Christmas decorations), we did some chores -- Abigail loves to dry and put away the dishes, both kids enjoyed the grocery shopping even though they were outraged that to get everything they loved meant going to two different stores, and Abigail put away most of the groceries. It spurred a huge organizing inspiration of her toys and room. We put up a canopy tent. We did many more crafts. We read many more books.....Now John really only wants to run and throw his Thor's hammer. Not fun to throw the hammer in the rain and he gets into trouble inside. Two incentives for John -- the coke float and the water gun bath. Matt introduced John to the coke float -- the combination of his two favorite foods-- on Friday. We have used the coke float all weekend long for him to eat his food, change his diaper, brush his teeth and be nice to his Sissy all weekend long. This morning he told Matt he wanted Turkey right now for breakfast, so he could have his coke float! The water gun bath -- John has been very disappointed with the cold weather that has prevented water play outdoors. So a few weeks ago we brought his big nerf water gun indoors for his bath time. It has been a huge success and amazingly he only sprays inside the tub. He can let out all his enthusiasm out in the tub.
