Christmas 2015

We had so much anticipation and enthusiasm for our trip to Opelousas.  We did not have much organized preparation.  So we left quite a few things like baby wipes (whew, no messes along the way), we took Slim's things that were to go with him to Diane's house, and we left Jobe's wine.
Our best traveler award went to Tess who we hardly noticed was in the car.  Abigail and John both did very well, once we could find the thing to entertain them.  John even enjoyed shapes app, drawing with the iPad and catching butterflies.  Abigail has so many games to enjoy, but she decided her traveling speed is air.  She declined an upcoming beach/mardi gras trip to Galveston as it is by car.
Best hospitality: Uncle Kevin and Andrew and Bebe and Jobe.  We had a great time visiting.
Abigail pampered her nails and toes to sparkle for the visit!

John dreamt of home runs! John was so excited to see all the wrapping paper tubes at Kevin's.  While hunting pine cones, we created this lung a magnolia seed game.
Favorite gift - Robot cat (Abigail)  The kids really played well together and enjoyed each other's company.   Hope that  lasts through the whole winter break.
Favorite reunion -- Abigail and Bebe's iPad.  She even taught John how to play a few games.

Favorite gift -- bazooka gun (not pictured and delivered on the 30th after days of asking and sleepless nights waiting) the boy was finally united with his gun!  Love.

Both kids were happy and cheerful on Christmas morning.  Abigail was so happy with her Star Lily pegasus.

Many crafts which have been enjoyed all week.

I feel pretty award - Abigail for rocking out to We Will Rock You in this dress.  Uncle Sean got an xbox which we had troubles downloading games, but we all were able to play Rock Star for a few hours Christmas evening.
It was warm (80 degrees), wet and humid.  The kids made the best of it running and playing in their rain boots!

It took days to get this picture taken but so glad we did.

Matt carved the meats and we all enjoyed a wonderful dinner.

Abigail spent many hours getting the old doll house set up.  My Dad built it in the 70s, and I loved it....and then it fell into disrepair.  Bebe, Jobe and Abigail have really been reviving it!

John enjoyed playing the drums with Matt.

Best stop -- Monjuinis shrimp toast for the long haul back.  Thanks Chris, Ashlie, Andrew and Kevin for hanging out with us and keeping the wild runners safe.
