The Jolt of John as a Toddler

I asked Matt to describe the last few weeks.  I was grinning.  These memories should inspire but sometime it is hard to always be cheerful and sometimes you just have to say Oh Bummer.  Hey, that is what John is saying a lot.  He wakes up early and is cranky.  He whines and cries quickly.  He throws, hits, bites, and loves to make a big mess for you.  Opening cabinets and pulling things out, slamming doors -- in fact I must take a break right now to go put things to right.

John is asleep now.  We get homework and crafts completed.  We enjoy inner peace and quiet.  Funny even Abigail enjoys some personal time during John's naps.

We make light of the Toddler John as it is so funny for him to be the trouble maker.  Abigail loves it.  She vasilates from his partner in crime to his boss.  Both positions are hard on us.  The first because it is difficult to contain either; the latter as we are so excited for her to make those connections, but she tends to get too close to his head or a sword and gets herself hurt.

Luckily she goes with the flow. She seems to have a better idea than me that the moments are fleeting and will change soon.  She is at least doing something I always ask her to do -- be happy with what she has and in the moment.  So in John's toddler wild states she embraces her old wild toddler self with fervor!

Trinity park -- T ball game.

I love this picture -- the kids were fighting during a special TV break.  So the TV was turned off and we were coloring.  John asked to do shapes on the iPad and then secretly hid under the table to watch a show on the iPad.  Abigail joined him and watching contraband TV under the table forged a happy union.

They were snuggled so cutely, and as soon as my camera interrupted, they separated.
Impromptu play date on Friday at Art Van Grow.  How excited were we to go paint pottery with friends after school.
