School Days

Abigail's clay art for a video.    Today I learned, Abigail is not alone in watching YouTube.  She loves to watch these short videos about  toys (horses).  She has enjoyed making similar videos with her own toys.  Turns out Hank, Max, Henry, Leah, and Caroline do too.  Glad to see all the moms are sharing in the video making and all having the same "difficulty" uploading the videos on YouTube.

John's Jango Fett Halloween costume came in!  The kids picked out their costumes really early.  Abigail is an archer without a bow.

We all love the jet pack most of all.

Abigail's first project for second grade.  She had to make a collage arm of all the special things that made her  Abigail.   She worked independently and made an amazing arm.  Yesterday I had lunch at school with she and her friends.  I was struck in how close they are all know.  These kids know each other well after three years.   Sadly, I saw how much bigger they are getting.  They are not the little kids anymore.  John as well -- he is not the shortest on the baseball team, and there are several 4 year olds!

College spirit day -- SEC house.

Abigail is doing well in Spainish and actively participating this year.  The first few spelling tests were rough, but she has the routine down now and is succeeding.

This note cracked us up!  Only Abigail would hide a harmonica in her clothes and start playing for her classmates during  the spelling test.  One classmate mentioned he prefers music to help him focus on the spelling words.

Matt, Abigail, and John were so thoughtful and creative with birthday gifts.  It was an amazing day.
