John began PK4 in Mrs Roche and Smith's class this week. He will have early birds with a favorite babysitter, Emma. His teachers and Emma are amazing so we are super excited about the year. Some of his best friends, Charlie, Collin, and Olivia Castillo, are no longer in his class, but he had become fast friends with Jonathan. Best way to top of the first week of class -- Matt picked him up early the last day for Raising Canes and an ice cream sundae! Yay
Meanwhile, Abigail is doing so well in Mrs. Valverde's class.

| Abigail also was awarded Summer Reader Free Dress Day. She set a goal to read all her summer books from Mrs. Olazaba. She even read the ones she did not think she would like -- and liked those too. |
Abigail started receiving homework for the year. She will have a spelling test every Friday. 10 English words and 10 Spainish (not the same word in English and Spainish) . On Thursdays, she has to turn in imaginative and fun homework that uses her spelling words. This week, she wrote her spelling words hidden in pictures, in multiple inks to make a rainbow word, and in kinetic sand.
This weekend, we are just enjoying cuddle time, movies, and relaxed play before a busy week of school, baseball, swimming and Girl Scouts. Looking forward to a great September.
