| We headed to a Texas Ranger's Game with Joby! |
 |
| John took a long nap so he could stay up for the entire game. |
 |
| He and Matt sat and discussed each play the whole game. And it was a big win! |
 |
| He was exhausted and fading so fast but he made through to the fireworks! |
 |
| Abigail and many of her Lily B friends joined her at TCU art adventures camp. This was workout Wednesday. She even had to do push ups! Her favorite teacher, Shelby, from the prior year was so excited to see her too. The whole week was a blast for Abigail. She was very busy with her art for the exhibit on Friday evening. Each afternoon, she was playing at friend's homes from the camp. |

Crazy hair Thursday -- actually it was throwback Thursday but Abigail forgot and decided this would work.
It was finally the night of the reception. We even had a dinner with friends planned for afterwards. I think her outfit is the perfect artist outfit. It was finally the night of the reception. We even had a dinner with friends planned for afterwards. I think her outfit is the perfect artist outfit.
Lollipop witch - the evil lollipop fairy and her cats.

| Foam kitty's kittens. Foam kitty was the inspiration of last year! (A tribute to Rose) |
The dinosaur foot print fight. I am not sure you are ever allowed to lay in a fossil at the Science Museum, much less get into a wrestling match about who should lay in the fossil. But somehow it did happen and thankfully, we were not escorted out of the museum.
The new hummingbird lane forest. The kids have new hummingbird feeders and created a sweet welcome for any hummingbirds to come.
My sous chef. This evening he made a second dinner option for Abigail. I loved seeing her face when he proudly presented a bowl. To his credit it had many of her favorite ingredients in it -- like chocolate, lemon, potato chips, raisin bread, molasses, but also arugula, chutney, a great deal of mystery spice and rock salt.
Dad gets back from Camp Moss and the kids are so excited. They stick to him like glue.
Abigail wrote Matt several poems while he was away -- this is my favorite. Matt's favorite is the Sun poem below.
Jordan and I laugh when we catch little bits of Abigail's conversations as she is playing with her toys -- they are often set in rhyme.

And we are really doing well in our swimming lessons. Matt came to watch one lesson and Abigail was dutiful in her free style and back stroke. She is learning the breast stroke and when she can do it a little more consistently she will graduate to Horn Frogs!
The popsicle: the best little thing about summer. John and Jordan made these pudding pops from a kit. I was so excited about the Jello pudding pops. They do not taste the same, but really close. It was super cool. We have been trying all kinds of popsicles all summer -- after swimming, long bike rides, trips to the zoo, water fights with friends. They are hopefully help to plant little seeds of happy memories of their childhood summers!
