Summer Week 4, Movie Date

 I love to compare these pops at the club photos over the years.  Amazed at their growth and accomplishments.  Both John and Abigail are really becoming avid water lovers.  Abi is getting very proficient at swimming and is working hard on her kicks and free-style arms. 

This week we enjoyed UCC camp and trips to the club often. 

Memory hightlight -- John getting frustrated with his corn on the cob forks that kept falling off, and declaring, "This is not working!"  Abigail sharing her last two bites of chocolate doughnut with her brother. 

And on Friday, Abigail and I went to see Inside Out with her friend, Catherine, and then Abigail left for a play-date at Catherine's.  The big event, a play date without a parent in tow, was not lost on Abigail.  She had an emotional cathartic cry all the way from the movie lobby to my car to pick up the booster seat to Catherine's car. But they had a blast and are ready to do it again!  John enjoyed the three hours of alone time with Mama too. 

Next up was a skating party for the whole family.  It was the first time Matt had been to a skating rink. 

The kids had Matt busy at the stuffed animal claw game -- he grabbed 6 animals in all!  What a haul!

Throw in several bike riding trips around the neighborhood and lots more Popsicles  and that was our week!
