Summer 2015, Week 3, Exploration

The kids only had a few morning camps and classes this week.  It was a wonderful time to explore.  They spent most afternoons at the Science museum.

Digging for dinosaur bones, visiting Sesame St in the planetarium, and

enjoying the splash park outdoors!

Abigail started up swim classes with Miss Rachel.  It is there last session together before Miss Rachel moves home to Austin to be a nurse in the fall.  Abigail brought Miss Rachel a gift for her "big girl job".

We enjoyed so much activity that sometimes I found the kids cranky earlier.  This is John's first lunch on Friday -- watermelon, corn on the cob, and hotdogs.  He had a second larger lunch with Sissy two hours later.

John has enter the world of imagination -- Star Wars style.  Any object, his favorite is purple bat, but a pair of tongs or a spatula will do.  He plays blasters with you, "Twew Twew"  all over the house.

Guess who does not like to have blasters waved in her face?  Well we all don't but Abigail is beginning to tolerate the game and John is learning to stay a respectful distance from all of our faces.

Thursday afternoon, Abigail and Matt went to pick up a bike from a neighbor.  We love the new bike.  We go on family ride and walks twice a day.  She is doing so well with steering and pedaling.  We are working on braking.
These last shots are after a hot afternoon biking, releasing more lady bugs, and digging for more worms.  John started pouring our ice cold water on my toes.  It felt so good in the heat.  We poured the cold water all over each other laughing away :)
