| The kids had a great Thanksgiving Break -- filled with play dates, family, good food, decorations, |
| And John is really sad to see it end....Matt and I went on date today and John was devastated to see us go. |
| He could not say Uncle Chris or Uncle Kevin, so he called everyone Donald, as in Uncle Donald. |
| While Abigail was busy playing with Magical Mermaids and the visiting family and friends, John did some repairs, cleaning, and cooking around the house. |
| John running to trim the Christmas tree with his hand saw. |
| Nice warm weekend, and John ran outside to wash his car. |
| He also cleaned the dog bowls, doors, and gate for me. |
| The brothers Dzurik enjoyed football and hanging out on Turkey day.....they only had to watch Disney Junior during halftime. |
Despite not being pictured today, Abigail had some big learning experiences this week. She had a play date on Monday that ended in a trip to Urgent Care when a friend pushed her into a duck pen at the petting zoo. She learned to "not climb fences" and "to go with Alicia when changing John's diaper." Mama learned to be so thankful for emergency contacts to help her out when Matt's scrubbed in the OR. A few days later at another play date, she made a very wise decision. The friend thought it would be funny to spray someone with a hose on the very cold day. Abigail said "That's not the right thing to do". She helped me pick out a Christmas tree and Christmas flowers for the front of the house on the spur of the moment...Later in the week when I needed a break, she came and gave me a hug and kiss and asked me if she could help me do the laundry. Wow..... pretty insightful. Toward the end of the week, she has had a great time decorating the house for Christmas. She and John have loved the Night Before Christmas book, read by Bebe and Jobe. They are very upset though that the magical book lets the kids hear Jobe and Bebe, but has the kids on mute. John has been super sweet and smart as ever. On Friday evening, John wanted to take a bath right away and we were having a hard time pulling Abigail away from all the family and friends action in the living room. He and I went to get jammies and toys upstairs to entice Abigail towards the bath. He runs straight to Abigail's room grabs two fists full of mermaids, and starts screaming, "Mermaids, mermaids." Lol, what 19 month old knows the word
mermaids, much less that Sissy can't resist mermaids.
