I sat down to download my pictures of John and I's last Tuesday lunch, Abigail having fun swimming  and making waffles with Matt, but my computer is dead.
So I just get to write it all down:
1. Abi had a really rough go of it the last few days -- little did we know she has a UTI and her crabbiness is well deserved, she is in pain.  It is tough to be a toddler, trying to cope with potty training and a new sibling. We just thought the behavior issues were due to all the changes including a new nanny, Mom going back to work, and she heading to preschool.
2.  We have seen the doctor's office a lot lately with well baby visits, an elbow cellulitis, allergy issues and now the UTI. It gave me some time to read Abi new books. I was really impressed that she could easily name most of the upper and lower case letters for me. It was really the fonts that made her stumble over a few--E, F, I, and L.
The last visit Abi saw Dr. McGehee's new partner. She really was not happy about this and said"I want Dr. McGhee . Not his woman. Give me the monkey doctor". In the waiting room. The staff thought it was hilarious. And thankfully Dr Charette is wonderful too and while she did not have any stuffed Monkeys in her exam room, we had a Pluto and a magnetic wooden clock shape and number sorter that Abi loved.
3. Slim needs a doctor too -- we have mountains of his hair all over the house these days.  Abigail continues to enjoy sweeping them and gently patting him in hopes of calming him down to stop the shedding. ....and my computer needs a genius appointment.
4. New developments -
echolalia. Abigail has now started mimicking our body postures, pauses, and echoes   our disciplinary talks back to us. I really need to work on my poker face, it is funny. She gets us good.
New favorite phrase - control your temper, mind your manners
Favorite toys - stickers, Minnie Mouse,
Looking forward to - her birthday, especially visits with her family members and cake and cupcakes.  Amazingly she remembers her cake from last year with ladybugs and flowers. This year she wants princesses, ladybugs and flowers.
5. Great fun-
Abigail and I have been running errands together and doing chores together. It has been so much fun and a lot of help. She likes the bank and target, and putting up the laundry, washing dishes and stirring any pots.
Swimming. She has really become more comfortable with the water and we are enjoying getting in the big pool and kicking, spinning, jumping and goofing off.
6.  Baby John - well he is as sweet and easy as ever. He even let Abigail decorate him today with stickers. He looked so adorable covered in frog, bunny and squirrel stickers. He loves to watch her. He is really growing and filling out his clothes. He is always smiling.  He is sleeping well in his crib and we are back in our room. He still wakes at 3 AM. He enjoys hanging out with us, sitting upright  or on his back but really hates the tummy time. As ever he prefers to be held most of all. He is content with the nanny, takes a bottle, but prefers me and can find me immediately when I walk into the room - wow it takes my breath away every time. Love love love these beautiful kids of mine.
