We all have bad days! But no one wants their child to have them. Don't you just want to give her a hug and a new toy - she got several hugs and chocolate with no avail. Through my child development books, I have been learning that they are actually quite good tools for learning frustration/anger control and simply how to bounce back up -- I have not gotten to the point of being excited for the opportunity like said books suggest.
Yesterday, after 5 days in a row of Happy Abi, we had Oops bummer bad choices one after the other. We had so many things to do yesterday too -- fun things like birthday parties at the zoo and Easter egg hunts. We actually made it to the egg hunt but looking back at all the photos, despite the egg hunt, petting zoo, horse, Easter bunny and beautiful weather, she was not happy. It is funny how your camera captures things you overlook or just plain do not want to see.
Thankfully with little ones the blues do not last long and she was a happy cheerful little girl today.
