Introducing Abigail

Introducing Abigail

Last week was packed with fun.  We decorated gingerbread houses, had play dates, field trips to the zoo, and family night with the puppet lady and book fair.

This weekend we had a snap of cool air in time for an early morning football game at TCU.   I think they are making fun of me here for my layering obsession -- it only took us one hour to get all these layers on-- Abigail has legging under those jeans.  I have gloves and another coat for John in my hand.  Most of the layers ended up in my backpack but everyone was comfortably warm for the game.

Abigail was amazing walking over a mile to the game and then all the way up to our seats! The  morning  before the game, Abigail expressed interest in a pair of jeans.....Matt and I were thrilled and picked up two pair that evening.  She looks so adorable in her jeans!

TCU bear, TCU popcorn, and lots of music, cheer and dance kept the kids happy.

For nearly two quarters at least :)

The kids ran and played and walked so much.  They had a great day and we all fell fast asleep watching Planet Earth for family movie night.

John was more than happy to get back to dinosaur play all day on Sunday.

This is Utah raptor v.  Tarchia.  He has memorized the play by play battle scenes on YouTube and reenacts the scenes.

Another big thing right now is rhyming.  The kids love to practice rhyming words.  Johns are always a variety of ...John bon pants in pond, etc....The other morning we went to school and as each kid walked in the other kids greeting them would to a variation of this rhyme on the name of the child.  It was hilarious -- it was sort of likeCliff and Norm at Cheers greeting you.  Everyone knew your name.  Such a great group of kids in his class this year.
