the last of the Season

On a lovely Fall evening this week, we had our last baseball game of the season.  Our opponents could not field a team, so we had a scrimmage game -- the kids played each other, Coach Mike v Coach Micah.  They had more hitting time and running the bases.  Everyone was so relaxed and having a blast.  John ran the bases and jumped on home.  We all giggled as he stood on home plate basking in his accomplishment.  Afterwards the coaches gave out awards to each kid and a trophy.  The boys sat all together for one last huddle, cheering on each player for their award.  John won the "love of the Game" award for always having fun and smiling and learning the game of baseball.  They cheered one last time, "Go Blue Jays"  It was a beautiful night on so many levels.

Jordan came to John's game last Saturday and she and Abigail made  a sign to cheer on John!

We also took family pictures about two weeks ago.  It was a very warm 90 degrees that evening of Matt's birthday.

In our yard -- our milkweed is huge.  The little Charlie Brown twig, has grown so large.  It has been a favorite for bees, and now it is hosting the milkweed beetle. This beetle resembles the lady bug.  We hope this is a good sign that Monarch butterflies are coming next Spring.
Family Spirit Night -  The annual Lily B event was wonderful, made even more enjoyable by the rains the morning of that threatened the event.  We all had an amazing evening of family and friend fun.

The kids have really been playing so well together - dinosaurs seem to bring them together.  They have really learned and cheered each others favorite things on :)

I love this picture -- I see my baby girl in this picture.  I love the gentleness in her approach and the hint of baby face too.
And this was picture, just a few minutes before, so poised and elegant.

And all smiles during the story book parade
