Summer Week 1

Abigail loved the first Summer camp of the season -- Benbrook stables -- Horse camp.

It was only two days and jam packed with fun and she is ready to start horseback riding lessons .

We had a great week.  Jordan started on Monday and while the kids tried to push boundaries a bit, everyone did well.  We are all are really excited to get to know her -- few first facts -- she is very relaxed and laid back, loves cats and cheese.  She can draw and her sister is an amazing artist.  She can also make an amazing paper airplane.  We also began piano lessons at TCU and swimming lessons.  We finished up the week with trips to the pool and a broadway musical, Wizard of Oz.

Scat at Fossil Rim.  Uncle Donald brought us a cool book, Who Pooped in the Black Hills.  We used all our scat knowledge to figure out who pooped by the petting zoo at Fossil Rim.

The kids watching the giraffe, and a few minutes later, while the kids were giggling and tickling each other, the two giraffes, walked up really close to peer into the car and look at them.  They were being so silly and totally missed the giraffe looking at them.

The reindeer herd loved us.  Especially me after John in excitement about feeding them, threw the entire bag of feed in my lap.  This guy would not stop licking me.  It was hilarious, but when I was licked clean and we had found all the food on the floor we could and he and his antlers were still in the car....well what do you do.  Easy.  Abigail hisses like a cat and that guy was out of there!
Exhaustion after the sun and swim.
