the Recital

This is Abigail's dance recital -  she joined the class of 2-4 year olds in December. 

The song was "Put on a Happy Face" -- I think she forgot...

Absolutely no movement

Ah for the finale, we have subtle arm motion

As soon as we are done -- happy face on, movement and laughter and action ensues!

And even some shuffle stepping all the way to the car.

I really did not get the whole dance recital for a two year old class -- until we did it.  It is for the teachers and the parents --  it is their payback.  For all the struggles and effort to get you to class, for the temper tantrums and disruptions in class.  We, the parents and teachers, get to sit back, relax in a comfy chair in a huge beautiful auditorium, showing our beloved children all the opportunities we give them -- and we get to (1) laugh at them if they squandered and wasted it, knowing there is a learning opportunity (2) share in their amazing triumph for all the hard work or progress they made and (3) hope for all the learning experiences and accomplishments that will build on this experience and are to come.
