Abigail had a great vacation week. She loved visiting with everyone in Shreveport. We visited Poppy's and Kevin's new homes. We had a late afternoon get together with Mackey and Spencer and family, Abigail especially enjoyed running a rolling down the hill with Spencer and little Henry. (We loved this too as she needed to release some energy before we packed ourselves back into the car.) We enjoyed walks and music at Joby and Bebe's, making Christmas cookies, and a delicious dinner. Abigail and I both got sick while away and our colds, loss of traditional routine, and the over-stimulation from so many gifts and family and friends to visit with was over whelming at times. Even Abigail declared a "privacy break" on Christmas morning from unwrapping gifts. And we showed everyone what our terrible Two's experience is all about.
We had some Christmas miracles with death-defying dogs, extended stays due to extreme weather conditions for Uncle Sean, and a sauna in a movie theatre. We likely added a new salad to the traditional Christmas meal, thanks to Melissa and Steve. It was a wonderful week -- we so enjoyed all our blessings, but especially our friends and family.
