We had a busy weekend, and I am exhausted. (Actually, it is nearly 5 PM and I am still taking a nap).
We got to hang out with a snake, two owls and a turkey at breakfast. The turkey walked right up to me and said, "Gobble, gobble."
And that is exactly what I did with my butter, syrup and pancakes!

I was really bummed that the alligators could not seat and eat with us, so I visited them next.
In the afternoon, we headed to the botanical garden too for pictures. Today we took a long family walk after breakfast. Dad and I talked cars over the Cars movie, and then Morgan came for a visit.
1. Beautiful curls and ringlets.
2. Dancing - she loves to do the "waltz" in her night gown or flowing dress.
3. Knows nearly every letter in the alphabet and associates most with a person, such as J for Miss Jessica.
4. Beginning to take walks around the neighborhood with Mom and Dad, keeping to the rules of staying on the sidewalk or holding our hand in the street. This has been enjoyable for all of us.
5. Meals -- she is beginning to try more things - she loves barbeque, especially baked beans. After all, she is a Texan. She is also enjoying her food and people watching again at restaurants.
6. Language - she has mastered complete sentences and is always trying to grasp the nuances of languages, correct verb usage, and word terminology. Today, she wanted me to describe the differences between a lamp, a chandelier and recessed ceiling lights. My favorite sentence was to the 8 year-old neighbor who asked Abigail if she knew what a mummy was, and her response: No Amelia, I do not know what a mummy is. Of course, she also incorporates anything she hears into her vocabulary so that is the only draw back. A favorite book has the phrase, "Go Away", Buzz and Woody think the neighbors toys are cannibals, and the evil step mother in Cinderella, locks Cinderella in her room. Abigail has incorporated these words and actions and likes to roll play them. So we have to be even more vigilant in the words we use, keeping to positive, inspiring, and rewarding word usage only.
7. Singing - we need some new lullabies -- she knows them all and wants more. She loves her music class at school and enjoys doing the practice notes. Matt's moved to Christmas songs.
8. Favorite toys - blocks, Buzz and Woody, and princess castle.
9. Animals - she loves to play fetch with Tess and gently pets her and the neighbor's cat.
10. Amazes us every day so stay tuned!
