Abigail began a story tradition with her dad. It has become a big deal. It is a delight to Abigail. It is a creation that Matt keeps adding and expanding. As it has evolved, he needs to start taking notes. The story started out about the adventures of Shivers the cat and Lightening Boy, the carnotaurus. I think Shivers has a pet parrot, Cat Claws.
Abigail is working really hard at school to honor our and her teacher's request to finish her writing assignments. We all have made a commitment to help out and encourage her to get her thoughts out on the paper in words and not just amazing drawings. On Friday, she worked hard all day at school on a Rosa Parks project. At pick up, I was so excited to hear, she completed her final draft and her project was going to be displayed. I have something to look forward to on Monday. She is also working hard on improving her writing, especially using lower case letters. At home, she has been enjoying a new scooter and new dollhouse bookcase creations.
We are also looking forward to summer camps. This week we signed up for Art Adventures at TCU with Henry Locke. At the end of the camp, Henry and Abigail will have an evening art gala event. Afterwards, we are going to take them to a fancy dinner. When we discussed it with Abigail, she swooned and said, "Finally, I finally get my first date. I have been waiting my whole life." Matt said, "Henry must come to the door." My response: "Henry probably has no idea about the camp, the gallery exhibit, or the fancy dinner. The camp is in mid July." Matt looking relieved, says, "Whew. We have got time." Etiquette boot camp here we come.

| In the grocery store, John said he wanted to drink the milk from a coconut. One of the clerks overheard and helped us pick the best coconut. We followed his advice -- watch some youtube videos and have fun. It was a blast to hammer away at the coconut. And John bravely sipped away. It was not quite what he imagined but a great adventure all the same. |

| I love love this sweet smile. We have been enjoying the scooters so much these days. |
 |
| Blast off! John is also on a new baseball team, the Cardinals. He and Matt have really enjoyed the new team. |
 |
| Abigail and I stayed up late creating a new doll house bookcase for a weekend playdate. |
 |
| John's map to Going on a Bear Hunt -- it has the meadow grass, the bridge, the river, the snowstorm and the cave. |

| Abigail brought home this worksheet earlier in the week. We were so excited to see the entire page filled with words. |
John has been going through a transition. He is definitely enjoying friends at school more. He comes home and tells me about all the interactions with several friends. Tuesdays are his favorite school day when he enjoys all the girls, Charlotte, Georgia and Olivia. Olivia is a close sweet friend from last year. He always has fun with her. Charlotte and John are the only two in his class that go to school everyday and go daily to Early Birds. She and John practice their letters each morning together.
