Water Water everywhere!

John loves water -- collecting water in a receptacle and pouring it out -- he has ample opportunity to do this daily.

With the new sod, we are outside watering the yard twice a day -- followed by two baths for John.  First, he watered the yard, which he was quite good.  Lately he has preferred collecting water in a bucket or dog bowl and pouring it out.

He has come to love water so much that he calls just about everything, Wa wa.  Except for when he really needs to tell you -- then he can say, "Mama, ALL DONE" or "Mama, HOT WATER"
Food wise, he still just grabs, points and grunts.  We have even lost the "cheese" from his vocabulary this week.

Likely thanks to a runny nose and crankiness.

He is definitely becoming a toddler and  trying to assert his independence.  I say No to him these days more than Abigail.

John as a toddler wants to be able to do what everyone else does -- he wants to sit in a chair without assistance.  He also wants to stand in one, climb in one, and use it to climb onto tables and desks and to get to other chairs.  He is most proud of himself when he uses soft blocks to get up on the sofa or climb a chair.  He loves to play with the remotes, mouse, or phone.  He is not very interested in TV unless it is showing pictures of the family or playing a good song (i.e. the Hot Dog Dance).  He is also a thrower.  He is throwing his toys, sippy cup and food.  His meals are very abridged these days.  He is enjoying music class and summer camp and plays well with other children.  He loves books and gets downright excited when we read.  He loves puppies and tigers.   And is very gentle with animals.
