Living in the King's House

A year ago, I was praying for moments like this -- just sibling connection and contentment.  We were very content, especially with our home....

This is one of the last pictures taken in our Ward Pkwy home.

Thankfully everyone is all smiles at the new house.

Abigail had the hardest time.  She did much better than anticipated on Big Pack Day.  On Big Move Day, she refused to go into either house, and went to Alicia's house for a few hours.  Alicia dropped her off and she came in and enjoyed touring, but as bed time approached, she wanted to go back to the Ward house.  So she came with me to pick up a few more things and do some cleaning.  It was cathartic.  She walked through each room crying at the top of her lungs, describing what she loved about that room, what memories she had.  Like roasting hotdogs in the fire place in the playroom, or running though the halls, or dressing all together in our closet.  She had to kiss several rooms.  We even left singing a song, "Farewell" We came home, and she went to bed, and has not looked back.
That first weekend, Abigail enjoyed marathon TV during unpacking and a roller skate party.

This is her new favorite garden spot.

Tuesday, was her "birthday" celebration at SAS and the 2nd to last day of Mrs. Deem PK3. And John's 2nd to last day of his highchair.  He got a booster seat on Thursday.

This weekend Matt worked, so the kids and I went to breakfast, Botanical Gardens, the park, Target and to pick up the dogs. We walked the dogs (Or Tess dragged us).  Today, we went on a family play date.
We had a few guests over, including neighbors, realtor, and Uncle Donald.  Spencer and Mackey visited too.

As with every new home, we have a few issues to tackle (Cement Pond) and Abigail 's missing door knob.  It has been weighing on her mind.  So today, she decided to make herself a fancy door knob (Think Fancy Nancy).  She was very proud of her creation, and so very happy to lose the hole.
