First Fall Weekend

So usually in Fort Worth, the first early morning, fall feeling occurs around the week of my birthday.  This year that first day was Saturday, my birthday.  It was the first cool day of John's life.  He loves being outside and this weekend he enjoyed being outside immensely -- along with the rest of North Texas.  We hung out at the zoo, play date with Viv and Henry at the park, the backyard, the front yard -- just beautiful.  And we are thankful.
We all went to the zoo on Saturday morning -- I love to photo Abigail next to this pink elephant --we have several and it is fun reference to her growth and maturity.  She was a sweet little girl all weekend.

On Friday, it rained all day -- Abigail was surprised when she came home from school to see her special tent that Alicia made.  She had a blast

Abigail and John also made me a birthday card with their foot prints on rainy day Friday.

And moment not to forget:  (1) Bumbo blow out - eating rice cereal at the same time
                                              (2) Viv and Abi finally realizing they could play together -- Abi said I am wearing a skirt, Viv says Me too.  And you and I are both wearing tennis shoes.  Then both girls start doing a jump/sing dance.  Hopefully, these two neighborhood girls can soon be best of friends.
                                            (3) the bacon -- I was changing a diaper when Abi decided she needed something else to eat and would get it herself.  She could not reach the intended yogurt so she made do with a ziplock bag of raw bacon.  (yum)
                                            (4) the amazing change in mood and potty since we changed schools - Abi has really tackled and is accomplished in her bathroom skills.  She recognizes when she needs to go and is even celebrating her success with high fives and dancing.
