First day of School!

Today, Abigail began a new chapter in her young life, daycare/school.  She got up and we had our usual morning routine. But then we put on a nice outfit, socks and our new shoes, and left for school with Mama.  We arrived there to find three little boys in her class that were all twice her size and her age eating cheerios and milk on their own with a spoon.  Abigail was so excited to see the little boys, she came up to little Maddox and waved and said, Hi.  Then she grabbed his glass of milk and spilled it all over him and her nice outfit.  Thankfully he was very forgiving, and in a few minutes she was playing with her new friends and forgot about me.  She played in a blue tunnel outside, made stamp art, played with all the new toys indoors and enjoyed the ten new children.  The one thing she didn't do -- eat.  She did not like the hamburger or french fries and canned pineapple or cheerios for lunch and breakfast.  I really don't blame her -- I have been cultivating such a healthy palate with superfoods like black beans, avacado, blueberry and raspberry, cantelope, greek yougart, organic cheese, and sweet potatoes.  It was definitely a win win for us -- new experience, socialization, art classes, and maybe that time in life when a McDonald's happymeal is the only thing she will eat is still at least one day away.
